Bournemouth supporters cycled 400 miles to Newcastle for charity

AFC Bournemouth supporters, called the Handlebarmy Army, cycled 400 miles from Dorset to St James’ Park in Newcastle to raise over £3,000 for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA). The journey honored team leader Dave Harris’ son, Teddy, who was born with the condition in 2024. The ride occurred from April 15 to April 17, facing various weather challenges. On the final day, they encountered Spurs legend Michael Dawson and celebrated their arrival in Newcastle by climbing 140 stairs to the stadium, where Bournemouth won their match, concluding a successful fundraising trip.
