On April 17, the Forest Holme Hospice Charity organized its inaugural Sunset Walk, raising over £16,000 for palliative and end-of-life care in Poole, Wimborne, and the Isle of Purbeck. Participants gathered at Branksome Dene Community Room, trekking to Evening Hill to witness the sunset over Sandbanks. The event fostered an emotional atmosphere, allowing participants to reflect and share personal stories. Sponsored by Marjorie House and supported by Rapid Relief and Pizza with Love, the walk aimed to benefit the hospice, which provides essential care for over 1,500 patients with life-limiting conditions annually. Plans for a future event are underway.
