Weymouth to hold annual Anzac Day service

Weymouth invites residents and visitors to its annual Anzac Day service on April 25 at 11 am, held at the Anzac Memorial seafront, opposite the Prince Regent Hotel. The ceremony features a wreath-laying to honor Australian and New Zealand service personnel from World War I. It will be led by chaplain Father Scott Anderson and attended by Mayor Councillor Caroline Nickinson, who emphasizes the event’s significance in recognizing sacrifices made by the Anzacs. A temporary road closure will occur from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, with an additional early morning gathering at 5:45 am for those observing the day at sunrise.
