The ‘Black Sea’ Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G (StuG III), restored by The Weald Foundation, will debut at Tankfest 2026 at The Tank Museum in Bovington from June 26-28, marking its first appearance since 2009. A key WWII armored vehicle, the StuG III was designed to support infantry with its 75mm gun. Gemma Butler from The Tank Museum expressed gratitude to the Weald Foundation for showcasing this remarkable vehicle, which has historical significance, having been nicknamed after a German ship sunk while transporting it. Saturday tickets for the event are already sold out, with limited availability for Friday and Sunday.
