Emma Smith from West Moors discovered her passion for baking in September 2025 while making a birthday cake for her partner. Encouraged by positive feedback, she started creating treats for family and friends. Noticing a lack of self-serve cake options in her community, she launched a poll, leading to the opening of Sweet Crumbs Cake Shed on April 3, located outside 117 Pinehurst Road. Offering a variety of baked goods, including special dietary options, the shed sees strong community support with sales often exceeding expectations. Emma plans to expand further by adding a cake fridge for the summer months.
