Dolphin IV Boat Launched at Poole Quay in Pictures

The Dolphin IV vessel was named at a ceremony on Poole Quay on April 16, hosted by Friends of Dolphin, a charity offering free boat trips for people with disabilities. Hundreds attended the event, which included a service led by Reverend Canon Lucy Holt. The 10.2-metre catamaran features accessibility improvements such as wider seats and an easy-access side door for wheelchairs. Established in 1980, Friends of Dolphin has since provided trips to around 60,000 people. The initiative reflects strong community support, emphasizing the charity’s purpose and commitment to inclusivity.
