Alfie Wise, 22, from Poole, violently attacked a woman in her late teens, causing a severe neck fracture. They met through mutual friends during a night out in Bournemouth on August 27, 2024. After returning to Poole, Wise sexually assaulted and raped her. The victim reported the crimes and received support from The Shores Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Wise was arrested and tried, denying the charges but was ultimately convicted of rape, sexual assault, and assault by penetration, plus intentional strangulation. He was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison on April 17.
