I recently enjoyed a fantastic theater production, “Lessons From Teacher X,” at Poole Lighthouse. Choosing to experience it without spoilers enhanced my enjoyment of its thrilling elements. The story revolves around Cam, a secondary school teacher leading a double life as an online model named Crystal. Playwright Erin De Frias creates a gripping blend of romance and horror, expertly depicted by Barbara Smith, who portrays 15 characters seamlessly. The production benefits from captivating direction, a haunting soundscape, and effective lighting, immersing the audience in Cam and Crystal’s intriguing and suspenseful narrative. I highly recommend witnessing this exceptional performance.
