Sale of Poole Civic Centre still pending completion

The former Poole Borough Council headquarters has been unused since 2022 and is no longer a civic center since the formation of BCP Council in 2019. Its redevelopment is crucial for meeting local housing targets. The sale, initially expected to conclude by March 2026, has yet to be finalized, with no reasons provided for the delay. BCP Council anticipates that selling the site will save £228,000 annually. Additionally, the civic center’s car park was closed on February 26, with signs and fencing installed to secure the area.
