Members of Dorset’s carer community attended a royal reception for carers at Windsor Castle, hosted by the King and Queen. Lizzie Eden, a carers engagement facilitator for GP practices at Dorset HealthCare, represented Dorset HealthCare after being nominated by NHS England. She expressed pride in advocating for local carers and highlighted the importance of their recognition. Eden recounted the unique experience of transitioning from her firefighting role to meeting the King in formal attire. Her work focuses on improving support and awareness for carers within GP practices across Dorset, ensuring they receive the assistance they need.
