Tributes have been paid to Dorset councillor Barry Goringe, who passed away on April 8. His colleagues held a minute’s silence during a recent council meeting in his honor. Elected in 2019, Goringe represented St Leonards and St Ives, served on the public health scrutiny committee, and was the deputy chairman of the former East Dorset District Council. He was actively involved in local issues, especially in planning and transport. Further tributes are anticipated at the next full council meeting, and his funeral is scheduled for next month.
