Residents near the Trigon landfill site have complained of a persistent smell resembling rotten eggs since January, affecting their quality of life and causing health issues like headaches and nausea. The Environment Agency launched an investigation and warned of potential action if the odor continues. Valencia Waste Management attributed the smell to a power outage in March and expressed regret. Nonetheless, residents note that the odor had been ongoing well before this incident. An anonymous post in a community group suggested a petition to restrict truck traffic until the issue is resolved. The agency is monitoring the situation and implementing improvements to gas emission controls.
