A man has come forward to assist Dorset Police with an investigation into a car sale fraud in Bournemouth. The incident occurred on March 6, 2026, when a vehicle was sold for £1800 using counterfeit £20 notes. The seller discovered the fraud after taking the cash to the bank the following Monday. Dorset Police had previously issued an image appeal to identify the suspect. With this new development, investigations are ongoing as they continue to gather more information about the case.
