A man has been charged with murder following an early morning assault in Bournemouth that resulted in the death of James Blanch, 41, on April 6, 2026. Emergency services responded around 3 AM outside MyBar on Charminster Road, where Blanch was pronounced dead. Rico Wilson, a 35-year-old from Bournemouth, is set to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court. Initially, three other men were arrested on suspicion of murder but were released under investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Nicky Jenkins stressed the importance of allowing the judicial process to unfold without public interference.
