Poole Bridge will be closed for five days from 9:30 AM on April 27 to 6 PM on May 1 for routine maintenance, including resurfacing and waterproofing of the approach roads. Access will be restricted for vehicles, pedestrians, and wheelchair users. The waterproofing work is contingent on dry weather, meaning rain could delay progress. A revised timetable will also affect boat travel through the harbour. Twin Sails Bridge will remain open during this period. Residents are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance. Poole Bridge, built in 1927, connects Hamworthy to Poole town centre.
