BCP unveils new plan to prevent homelessness

Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole have launched a Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2026-2031 aimed at preventing homelessness through early intervention and support. Developed by BCP Council and the Homelessness Partnership BCP, the strategy emphasizes learning from local experiences and listening to those affected. With prior success in helping over 1,500 households and reducing rough sleeping by 18%, this strategy aims to enhance collaboration among services for better support. It recognizes individual needs and involves a wide range of partners, including housing providers, charities, and local businesses, to create a comprehensive support system.
