Dorset Police have charged two individuals following the discovery of suspected explosive devices at a property on Suffolk Avenue, Christchurch. The initial device was found on June 15 during arrest inquiries, leading to further searches by police, aided by Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams. A woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s face charges, including possession of an offensive weapon and possessing an explosive substance with intent. They are set to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court. A man in his 60s remains in custody for unrelated medical reasons, with police maintaining a cordon but stating there is no wider public threat.
