World-Class Surgical Robots Debut at Poole Hospital

The da Vinci 5 (DV5) surgical robot at Poole Hospital, launched by UHD, boasts over 150 innovations and significantly enhances surgical precision with Force Feedback technology, enabling surgeons to feel tissue tension. UHD now operates three surgical robots, improving patient outcomes through faster recovery times and reduced hospital stays. The DV5 will also facilitate an additional 300 robotic surgeries annually, primarily for cancer patients. Dr. James Manners highlighted its ability to perform complex minimally invasive surgeries, benefiting both patients and attracting skilled surgeons.
