Play area upgrades move ahead across BCP

Improvements to play areas across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole are underway, highlighted by the upcoming reopening of Treasure Island in Canford Cliffs. The refurbished site features a new pirate ship, climbing equipment, slides, sensory play, and a zip wire, amid themed zones for varied age groups. Funded by the Canford Cliffs Land Society and Neighbourhood CIL, further upgrades are planned for Kings Park, Hamworthy Park, Bourne Valley, Noyce Gardens, Muscliff Park, and Mallard Road, emphasizing accessible and inclusive design. BCP Council’s “Plan for Play” aims to enhance over 120 play areas in the region.
