Defibrillators to be fitted in Nationwide branches nationwide

Nationwide plans to install defibrillators and bleed control kits in all 605 branches by year’s end, enhancing community safety. The rollout starts in Dorset and Hampshire with installations on June 15, July 3, and July 14. Amanda Beech highlighted Nationwide’s influence as the UK’s largest branch network in facilitating access to life-saving equipment. This initiative, a collaboration with Visa and supported by St John Ambulance’s first-aid training, aims to boost public confidence in using these tools. As the first banking provider to implement such measures, Nationwide commits to supporting high streets by keeping branches open until at least 2030.
