Woman, 22, dies after five years of ketamine addiction

An inquest into the death of 22-year-old Isabelle Bridie Sapherson-Moralee began on June 3. Her mother, Ann Moralee, emphasized the “missed opportunities” by health officials, noting her daughter’s struggles with a long medical history and a ketamine addiction. Isabelle was found unresponsive at home on April 26, having faced severe health issues exacerbated by drug use. Just two days prior, she was arrested after a traffic incident, appearing ill and underweight. The coroner determined her death resulted from opioid toxicity linked to ketamine-related liver disease, marking it as a tragedy stemming from misadventure.
