The business, a key player in the aviation and logistics sector operating out of Bournemouth since 2020, ceased trading and has made 178 employees redundant due to financial pressures, including reduced flying activity and rising fuel costs. Despite rapid growth—from launching during the COVID-19 pandemic to expanding its fleet—European Cargo’s bankruptcy raises concerns about the future of cargo operations at Bournemouth Airport and leaves many skilled workers seeking new employment.
