Two individuals take plants from Bournemouth charity in daylight

On May 30, a couple reportedly stole plants from Cherry Tree Nursery in Northbourne, packing them into their car and leaving without paying. The nursery, which supports adults with mental health challenges, expressed that the incident was “incredibly upsetting” and violated their safe space. Manager Sandi Marshall emphasized the impact on the charity’s income for their horticultural therapy program. Dorset Police is investigating but has yet to make arrests. Following the incident, Cherry Tree Nursery received substantial community support and urged anyone with information to contact them or the police.
