A proposal for a self-service Johnsons Laundry kiosk at the Tesco superstore on Waterloo Road, Poole, has been submitted as part of a collaboration between Timpson Ltd and Tesco Stores Ltd. The kiosk would operate 24/7 and require weekly maintenance by a part-time employee. Similar models are already in use nationwide. The planning documents indicate no expected increase in noise or disturbance, though four parking spaces will be removed to accommodate the kiosk. The consultation period ends June 18, and planning officers will make a decision thereafter, under application number P/26/02296/FUL.
