MVV Environment Limited has appealed BCP Council’s decision to deny planning permission for a waste incinerator at Canford Resource Park, which would incinerate 260,000 tonnes of waste annually. The appeal inquiry began on June 2 and is set to conclude on June 25. Local activists, including members of Stop Parley, Canford Incinerators, and Extinction Rebellion Wimborne, protested outside the Town Hall, voicing environmental concerns about air pollution and the planned carbon capture technology. Residents expressed strong opposition to the incinerator, fearing it will harm the local environment and contradict future waste management goals.
