Dorset Police honour volunteers supporting the force’s efforts

Dorset Police announced that its volunteers, including special constables and police support volunteers, contributed over 23,300 hours in the past year, equating to more than 5,000 shifts. This recognition coincides with National Volunteers’ Week, celebrating the vital role of volunteers in policing and community safety. Assistant Chief Officer Jo Mosley emphasized their commitment to enhancing community safety and supporting law enforcement priorities. The force currently includes 56 special constables and 128 police support volunteers, along with over 1,200 Community Speed Watch participants. Police and Crime Commissioner David Sidwick expressed gratitude for their essential contributions to the community.
