The former Poole Civic Centre, a Grade-II listed building, has been vacant since 2022 after the establishment of BCP Council in 2019. It is being sold to MCR Property Group for £5.25 million, approved by BCP Council with a vote of 33 to 21. An amendment to delay the sale was rejected. The council expects annual savings of £228,000, and the redevelopment will help meet housing targets. Discussions with the town council are planned to retain part of the building for community use, with potential rent set at £451,435 per year. The sale is not yet finalized.
