On May 27, a 7-year-old girl went missing while paddleboarding in the Sandbanks area, prompting a large emergency response. Emergency services, including Poole RNLI lifeboats and a coastguard helicopter, were deployed. The search began around 1:40 PM, covering areas from Sandbanks to Studland. Fortunately, the girl was located safe and sound by 3 PM, leading to the stand-down of rescue teams. Poole RNLI reminded beachgoers to swim at lifeguarded beaches and to acclimate to cold water slowly, emphasizing safety despite warm weather.
