AUB Students Revamp Baiter Park with Wildlife Mural

On May 23, a mural celebrating Baiter Park’s ecological significance for migratory birds was unveiled in Poole. Created through a collaboration between Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) illustration students and the Bird and Recreation Initiative (BARI), the artwork transforms a toilet block into a vibrant educational feature. AUB staff member Bridie Cheeseman highlighted the students’ creativity and teamwork, aiming to raise awareness of the park’s importance for species like Dark-bellied Brent Geese and Turnstones. Project coordinator Ria Loveridge emphasized the mural’s role in connecting local talent with conservation efforts while educating visitors about the wildlife that migrates to the area.
