The team is distinguished by its diverse crew, featuring paddlers in their 80s, a member with mobility challenges, and another undergoing chemotherapy. A team spokesman expressed immense pride in the collective effort, emphasizing the event’s themes of resilience and friendship. The team aims to encourage broader participation, especially from those affected by cancer, inviting potential members to try dragon boating at Poole Park on June 6, with three complimentary sessions offered for newcomers.
