Petition started to prevent parking increase at Boscombe car park

BCP Council began consultations on May 8 proposing increased parking charges at Boscombe Undercliff Car Park, which would be open 24/7 with a maximum stay of 24 hours. Rates from March 15 to October 31 would range from £3.80 for one hour to £28 for a full day, while winter tariffs would apply from November 1 to March 14. Local Councillors Gillian Martin and Duane Farr expressed concerns over potential antisocial behavior and increased financial pressure on residents due to these changes. They have initiated a petition seeking to reconsider the proposals, requiring 2,000 signatures to trigger a council debate.
