On May 20, celebrity chef Lesley Waters hosted a hands-on cooking event at Dorchester Corn Exchange, part of the Get Dorset Cooking campaign by The Friendly Food Club and supported by Dorset Council. The event emphasized the health and community benefits of simple home cooking. Participants, including families and community groups, prepared a three-course meal under the guidance of Waters and fellow chefs Nicholas Balfe and Steve Yates. The CEO of The Friendly Food Club, Liz Guilmant-Cush, noted the event’s success in fostering community pride and connections through cooking.
