On May 24, a dog named Tilly fell approximately 120 feet from a cliff near Peveril Point. Emergency responders from Swanage and St Albans Coastguard were alerted and began searching for the dog after receiving reports. With help from a drone operator, Tilly and her owner were located walking along the beach and safely assisted back up the cliff, with Tilly remarkably unscathed. This incident highlights the importance of keeping dogs on leads near cliffs. The Coastguard managed three other incidents that day, including locating a missing father and daughter and assisting with a medical emergency.
