Jim Smith from BH Weather announced that May 1st marked the hottest day in this century at 28.5°C, surpassing the previous May record of 28.3°C. The Met Office forecasts the UK’s temperatures could reach 35°C, significantly higher than the previous May record of 32.8°C. This remarkable heatwave is characterized by unusually high temperatures for this time of the year, prompting many to flock to the beach to soak up the sun.
