BCP Council is enhancing three play areas in Southbourne as part of its Plan for Play strategy, aiming to upgrade over 120 sites across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. Recent improvements at Fisherman’s Walk include new swings and equipment, while Seafield Gardens has added a new see-saw. Beaufort Park is set for resurfacing and new swings. Councillor Sandra Moore emphasized community involvement in the upgrades, made possible by over £4.6 million in funding. Further major refurbishments are planned at locations like Baiter Park and Kings Park, supported by council funds and grants.
