Yellow heat health warning for the south west today

The UK Health Security Agency has issued a yellow heat alert from 2 PM on May 22 to 5 PM on May 27, primarily affecting vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly, who may struggle to regulate body temperature. While most healthy people are not expected to be significantly impacted, health and social care services are advised to prepare for potential risks. The alert indicates that although the risks may be minimal, action is required for those particularly susceptible during the hot weather. The NHS recommends keeping living spaces cool and using fans as needed.
