Dele Sosimi will perform at Lighthouse’s Sherling Studio on May 22, 2023, as part of their Studio Jazz series. A prominent Nigerian British Afrobeat musician and educator, Sosimi began his career with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band and later formed Positive Force with Femi Kuti. Over 40 years, he has maintained his influence in Afrobeat, combining funk, jazz, and traditional Nigerian sounds. His performances have graced festivals worldwide, and he has worked with various artists. His notable works include the solo album You No Fit Touch Am and the recent collaboration, The Confluence.
