Christchurch Quay Splash Park will remain closed during the May bank holiday due to delays in resurfacing work caused by recent rain. The park’s Facebook post noted that although the park is almost ready for summer, it cannot open during half-term as the surface needs to be dry for safe completion. The team is working closely with contractors to expedite the project, and they apologize for the inconvenience. However, the adjacent play park will remain open. Resurfacing for that area is scheduled for early June, after which the Splash Park aims to welcome families back for the summer season.
