Car parks behind the former WHSmith and Costa Coffee on Christchurch Road in Boscombe will start closing on May 29, with around 50 spaces closing first, followed by a full closure on July 24. This is part of the Better Boscombe regeneration project, which aims to create a new community center, 68 council-owned homes, and space for health and wellbeing services. The demolition of the former WHSmith building is complete, and main construction is expected to begin in August, with project completion anticipated by August 2028.
