Treasure Island Park, or Pirate Park, in Canford Cliffs has received a £130,000 redevelopment, featuring a new pirate ship, improved climbing equipment, slides, sensory play areas, and a miniature zip-wire. The upgrades include a play tower for younger children, adapted swings for accessibility, and fitness equipment. A launch event on June 20 will offer face painting, games, and entertainment to celebrate the reopening. Canford Cliffs Ward Councillor John Challinor expressed excitement about the park’s refresh, which aims to modernize the beloved community space while preserving its nautical theme for future generations.
