The Great Ferndown Memory Quest, organized by Parley Place Care Home, aimed to raise awareness of dementia ahead of Dementia Action Week. The event involved teams following clues hidden by local businesses, starting at Bridgewater Care. Despite adverse weather, participants gathered to support community efforts, emphasizing the importance of dementia awareness. Gina Smith, general manager, highlighted the event’s significance in connecting the community and promoting available support, including a monthly carer’s support group. Every participant received a certificate, and a winner was awarded a bottle of bubbly. Parley Place Care Home offers residential and dementia care for 68 residents.
