Keep Britain Tidy’s Blue Flag award, a prominent recognition for beach quality, was awarded to Sandbanks, Shore Road, Canford Cliffs, Durley Chine, Fisherman’s Walk, and Highcliffe Beach. Sandbanks has achieved this status consecutively for 39 years. However, Avon Beach missed the award due to an administrative error. Additionally, these beaches received the Seaside Award, indicating high-quality management and cleanliness. BCP Council emphasized the honors reflect the consistent effort of seafront teams and partners in maintaining these beaches. Councillor Richard Herrett highlighted the importance of the beach experience and thanked stakeholders for their ongoing support.
