Corfe Hills School rejects parent’s concerns over teacher strike

Sarah Finch, a parent of a Year 10 student at Corfe Hills School, criticized striking teachers, likening their actions to a “baying mob” disrupting learning. A National Education Union representative countered, stating the protest was orderly and aimed at addressing significant issues, including proposed redundancies affecting staff across the Initio Learning Trust. Teachers emphasized that their strike aimed to maintain high-quality education and was not taken lightly. Staff concerns were echoed by an anonymous member, highlighting job insecurity and a lack of communication about potential cuts. The union seeks constructive dialogue with school leadership to resolve these matters.
