Poole Police conducted unannounced checks to combat “cuckooing,” where organized crime groups exploit vulnerable individuals’ homes for drug activities. On May 13, officers discovered a substantial bag of suspected class B drugs and arrested an unwanted visitor at one property. The individual is suspected of possession with intent to supply, and investigations are ongoing. Poole Police clarified that “cuckooing” involves taking over properties through coercion, often linked to County Lines drug distribution. Following the arrest, the police ensured the resident’s safety amid concerns about the potential risks involved in such operations.
