Dorset Council has revamped its Cabinet responsibilities to enhance coordination and support for residents. During a meeting on May 14, it was confirmed that the Cabinet will maintain its size at 10 members but will reshape portfolios for clearer leadership. The key change includes the appointment of Councillor Matt Bell as Cabinet Member for Public Health, Prevention, and Communities to consolidate various health and community services. Councillor Ryan Hope has stepped down after two years, while Councillor Nick Ireland continues as Leader. The restructuring aims to improve access to support and tackle health inequalities through better community partnerships.
