Bournemouth police seize illegal e-bikes and e-scooters

During a recent operation led by the Roads Policing Team, nine illegal e-mobility devices were confiscated due to concerns over anti-social behavior and road offenses. The haul included three illegal electric bikes and six electric scooters. Police Constable Christian Budden emphasized the safety risks these vehicles pose to pedestrians and other road users. He mentioned that seized scooters would be crushed and recycled and urged the public to verify vehicle legality before purchasing. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities involving illegally adapted electric vehicles to help authorities address the issue effectively.
