Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has unveiled its 2026/27 season, featuring a diverse array of symphonic concerts, community events, and educational projects across over 20 venues. This season initiates a two-year homage to Beethoven titled “Road to Joy” in anticipation of the 200th anniversary of his death in 2027. Chief conductor Mark Wigglesworth will lead 18 performances, including eight highlighting composer Thomas Adès. Pianist Boris Giltburg will serve as artist-in-residence. The BSO aims to engage local communities with concerts targeting rural areas and hosting open-air events for Portsmouth’s centenary. Full season details are available on the BSO website.
