New M&S Foodhall approved for old Homebase location

In August 2025, Marks and Spencer proposed to convert the former Homebase in Redlands Retail Park, Poole, into two stores: one as an M&S Foodhall and the other for bulky goods, yet to be specified. A car park extension will create 199 spaces and 58 cycle slots. M&S plans to invest £30,000 for a new bus stop to enhance pedestrian access. The proposal garnered 31 supportive comments and seven objections, primarily about traffic and safety concerns. Ultimately, the plan was approved, aiming to create 90 jobs and support local suppliers, with an investment of about £12 million.
