Public Invited to Discover £2.5m Beacon Centre on Open Day

Christchurch’s Beacon Centre, developed by Christchurch Baptist Church, will open on May 23 with a free community event from 10am to 1pm. Activities include a barbecue, bouncy castle, face painting, and crafts. The Mayor of Christchurch, Councillor Maggie Fidler, will officiate the opening. Minister Chris Brockway expressed excitement for the community to explore the newly built center, emphasizing its role as a worship space and a community hub. The center continues a 151-year tradition of the Christchurch Baptist Church, with a Thanksgiving and dedication service following at 2pm.
