The Oakhaven Walk is scheduled for May 16, aiming to raise funds for Oakhaven Hospice. Participants will traverse a scenic 26-mile route starting from Sandbanks, passing through various coastal areas to Mudeford. Over 650 walkers of all ages and abilities are expected. Jill West, the hospice’s community manager, expressed gratitude to participants and sponsors like Pennyfarthing Homes, ensuring that all funds contribute to supporting families facing life-limiting illnesses. Last year’s event raised over £170,000, and supporters are encouraged to cheer along the route. Oakhaven Hospice relies on fundraising for 87% of its £10 million annual costs.
